Prabhas who is currently shooting for Puri Jagannadh’s Ek Niranjan will be doing two more movies this year. One is for producer Dil Raju which will be directed by Dasaradh. And the movie will commence its shooting from July 1st week. For this movie, producer Dil Raju is now scouting for lead heroine. It will be either Kajal or Ileana - depending on the availability of their dates. Currently negotiations are on. Dasaradh has now finished the entire script, which is said to have come out so good. It will give Prabhas a complete new look and image. Producer Dil Raju is confident that he would be delivering another hit with this film.
Madhavi Latha (of Nachchavule fame) and Naani (of Ashta Chemma fame) are paired up together in a new film being produced by Satyam Entertainments. This romantic entertainer primarily focuses on love and its facets. Directed by Satyam Bellamkonda, the film has completed 70 percent of shoot and is scheduled for May end release.
“We haven’t yet titled the film but it is a romantic entertainer so we are looking for a beautiful romantic title. The film deals various facets of love. Although it is love story, it can be watched by family audiences as we have all the ingredients to suit wide spectrum of audiences,” says director Satyam.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Mitrudu is hitting the screens on May Day. Balayya who is busy in political canvassing has given nod to the film’s release on May 1st. Says producer Krishna Prasad: “Except one song, we have completed the shooting part. And post-production work too is fast finishing up. Hence we are releasing the movie on May 1st as the election fever is ending next week. I am sure the film will emerge as a blockbuster this summer.”

Shyam Prasad Reddy’s big budgeted graphical extravaganza, Arundhathi, has landed in deep trouble. The film was supposed to hit the screens on Jan 14th on the eve of Makara Sankranthi. In last minute the date was changed to 15th. But on Thursday too, the film failed to hit the screens. Now the producer has announced that the movie would reach to the theatres from Friday all over the state.

Director S S Rajamouli's current film with Ram Charan Teja and Kajal has landed in a minor trouble. The film's cans were missing from Rainbow lab of Ramoji Film City. The studio management found that a 500 ft can of film roll was missing from thier lab. The can consists of hardly 2, 3 shots but film rolls missing from lab is unusual. The film has been shooting in the studio. The management filed a police case regarding this at Hayatnagar Police Station on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2008.

Director Teja's new film, Keka, had its music launch on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi and Ramzan festival. The music launch ceremony was held at Taj Deccan and the event was a lowkey affair. Minister Damodar Reddy unveiled the first audio album. The other guests present at the event were D.Suresh Babu, Thammareddy Bharadwaja, Nallampalli Bujji, Chandrabose, Dil Raju, Gemini Kiran, Chakri, Hema Chandra and Pranavi.
Teja lauded Chakri for his outstanding musical score. He also thanked veteran cinematographer P.C.Sreeram for canning some spellbinding visuals for the movie. "You have not witnessed such work in the last decade. I am sure it will knock you out," he said. The film has all new cast and is produced by Teja himself. Interestingly, the film's cast was not present for the music launch.

Sneha Ullal is getting busier in Tollywood. Post the success of Ullasanga Utsahanga, she has signed another two films in Telugu. The beauty whose features resemble to Aishwarya Rai is now to be paired up with Nagarjuna’s nephew Sushanth in his next film titled Current. The film is to be directed by newcomer Prathap, a former associate of directors Sukumar and Allari RaviBabu.
Sneha Ullal is currently working for Manoj starrer Nenu Meeku Telusa and another film with Sharwanand. Sushanth’s film will begin its regular shoot in November.
Prabhas has finally made up his mind for his next project. After much brainstorming and listening to scripts narrated by various directors in the last four months, Prabhas has, at last, given green signal to the remake of Billa, the Ajith starrer Tamil film, which is nothing but the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don. Prabhas’s home production house Gopikrishna Movies will produce this. Meher Ramesh (of Kantri) will be directing it. It will be Prabhas’s immediate next film and will hit the floors next month, sources informed us.
NTR’s Yugandher was also based on Amitabh’s Don. Both the remake rights of Billa and Yugandher (same story and concept) are with Sri Raja Rajaeshwari Combines and the production house has sold the rights to Gopikrishna Movies for a decent amount.
